Wolfenstein: The Old Blood
Bethesda Softworks and developer MachineGames will release Wolfenstein: The Old Blood, a prequel to last year's outstanding Wolfenstein: The New Order, this May.
The stand-alone game will be set in the months leading up to The New Order, as protagonist B.J. Blazkowicz returns to Castle Wolfenstein and contends with ancient mystical powers that could fall into Nazi hands.
Wolfenstein: The Old Blood will take us back to 1946, where the Nazis are on the brink of winning World War II. In a last-ditch attempt to halt the Nazi war machine B.J. Blazkowicz has been dispatched on a two-part mission deep within Bavaria. Part one, Rudi Jäger and the Den of Wolves, sees Blazkowicz busting back into the classic Castle Wolfenstein and going head-to-head with a “maniacal prison warden” in order to discover the coordinates of General Deathshead’s compound. Part two, The Dark Secrets of Helga Von Schabbs, sees Blazkowicz’s mission lead him to the city of Wulfburg where an “obsessed Nazi archaeologist is exhuming mysterious artifacts that threaten to unleash a dark and ancient power.”
The new Wolfenstein will feature new environments, new enemies and new weapons.
