Warface hits 25M users worldwide within two years
Warface, the free-to-play multiplayer first-person shooter from Crytek, now has 25 million registered users worldwide
"It is a fantastic achievement for our franchise and for our teams, and we'd like to thank Warface players everywhere for their support," said Cevat Yerli, CEO and creative director of Crytek, in a press release.
The Crytek Kiev-developed title first went live on Windows PC in Russia in April 2012, and was released in North America, Europe and Turkey last October. As of March 26, an open beta for Warface is available on Xbox 360 free to Xbox Live Gold subscribers. Crytek is planning to launch an open beta of the PC version in China later this year, followed by Japan and Taiwan.
