Titanfall publisher Electronic Arts does not expect the game's sequel to be released during the company's 2016 fiscal year.

"You should assume that's not in fiscal '16; it's more likely in fiscal '17," said Blake Jorgensen, EA's chief financial officer, in response to a question about the next Titanfall game. EA's 2017 fiscal year runs from April 1, 2016, through March 31, 2017.

Titanfall developer Respawn Entertainment confirmed earlier this year that it is working on a sequel to the game. Studio head Vince Zampella added that it will be a "multiplatform" game, suggesting a PlayStation 4 version as well as Xbox One and Windows PC; that would be different from the original Titanfall, which was exclusive to Xbox consoles alongside the PC version.
