The new Borderlands game isn't coming to Xbox One or PlayStation 4
Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is real, and it's coming to PS3, 360, and PC fall 2014.
2K Games has officially announced Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. That's right: not Xbox One or PlayStation 4.
The specifics line up with the information that leaked out earlier this week: the game is set on Pandora's Moon and takes place between the events of Borderlands 1 and 2. A younger Handsome Jack guides you through the game, and you play as one of his four lieutenants: Athena The Gladiator, Wilhelm The Enforcer, Nisha The Lawbringer, or Claptrap.
The game is being developed primarily by 2K Australia, with original series developer Gearbox Software also chipping in. Perhaps it's just a coincidence, but a lot of the crazed enemies running around the surface of the moon had Australian accents.
Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel will be released in fall 2014.
