Plus, if you own the Xbox 360/PS3 version, your saves will carry forward.

Mojang announced today that Minecraft is also coming to the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in August. If you already bought the PS3 version, you can upgrade for $5, just like on Xbox One. You're also able to import your saves from PS3 to PS4, but not from PS4 to PS3 due to technical reasons. The PS Vita version of Minecraft will also go on sale in August through a special $20 Minecraft: PS3 + Vita Edition. "This means everyone who has bought Minecraft: Playstation 3 Edition from PSN will get it on Vita for free.

Saves are transferrable between the PS3 and PS Vita versions of Minecraft. Plus, all of the DLC you've purchased for Minecraft PS3 will work on PS Vita.
