The actor and former pro basketball player Rick Fox is the new owner of the League of Legends team Gravity Gaming.

To be known now as Echo Fox, the team was acquired and renamed at the beginning of this year. Gravity Gaming made two top six finishes in League of Legends' spring and summer seasons in North America, but failed to qualify for the world championship.

Fox, 46, has had an eclectic career of notable mentions. He played basketball for North Carolina and hit the winning shot to topple No. 1 seed Oklahoma in the 1990 NCAA tournament. He later played a solid 13 seasons in the NBA, winning three NBA titles with the Los Angeles Lakers.
