FIFA 16 won't be appearing on any Nintendo platforms
While last year's FIFA 15 was available for Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita, it looks like this year's iteration of the soccer game won't be going handheld. There's also no sign of a Wii or Wii U version.
The company announced this past week that the game will be released on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC on Sept. 22. 3DS and Vita versions have been a staple of FIFA for the last four iterations, back to FIFA 12. Prior to that, the game was always released on PSP and DS, back to FIFA 05.
"With regards to FIFA 16 there isn't a Vita or 3DS version," an EA representative told PocketGamer. "We don't have any further detail on the mobile version but will be sure to share with you when we hear more."
EA's press materials make no mention of a Wii version either. This year will be the first without a Wii version since the Wii was launched.
