Cobalt delayed into February 2016
Cobalt, the side-scrolling game that is to be the first third-party title published by Mojang, has been delayed to February 2016.
"We've been working on Cobalt for a long time," Mojang wrote recently. “And that's no exaggeration — development began in 2011, and at one point hoped for a full launch in 2013 after releasing an alpha for Windows PC and Mac. The latest launch target had been Oct. 30, and they won't hit it.”
"Though the game is feature complete, our current build is buggier than we're comfortable with," Mojang explained.
Cobalt was first announced in 2011. In addition to the Windows PC and Mac releases, it also is coming to Xbox 360 and Xbox One, a decision made before Mojang was acquired by Microsoft in mid-2014.
